1106 Executive Board Announcement on CWA VZ agreement in principle

Brothers and Sisters,

                    The Executive Board of Local 1106 understands that the bargaining summary from the CWA-VZ early bargaining meeting have been circulating.  However we wanted to wait before posting, wanting to meet as a board to review the document and get answers to any of our questions on the reported items, in this way we could be a knowledgeable source of information for our members.  The Executive Board has been waiting for the complete MOU(Memorandum of Understanding), not just a highlighted summary, to be better informed. As of this writing we have yet to receive the complete document.  We are anticipating receiving the complete MOU this evening.  

                    On Tuesday evening March 10th we have our scheduled general membership meeting, beginning promptly at 5:30pm, where we will discuss the MOU and be available to answer any questions you may have.  The members will have the opportunity to vote to ratify this proposal on three separate days before the end of this month.  It is on one of the following days that you will have the ability to vote "yes" or vote "no" on accepting the proposal:

                     Tuesday March 10th @ VFW Bellerose 242-37 Braddock Ave Bellerose up until 30 minutes after the membership meeting

                     Wednesday March 18th and Thursday March 26th at the Local 1106 office 221-10 Jamaica Ave Suite 210 Queens Village from 6am-6pm                     on both days.

               We've attached the bargaining summary below for your review.  If and when more information becomes available we will make sure to keep you posted
