Announcement from Local 1106 President Bob Smith regarding the MOU Vote

Brothers and sisters,

                                  This is just a reminder that next Thursday 3/26, will you be your last chance to vote on the proposed Memorandum of Understanding(MOU). This MOU would extend our contract ,which is due to expire on August 1st, to August of 2030.

                                  The terms of the MOU have been posted on our website(www.cwalocal1106.org) and we reviewed the proposal with our members at last week's General Membership meeting.

                                  We encourage those haven't yet voted to read the MOU and give us a call if you have any questions, concerns, or if an item needs clarification.

                                  Be aware that if you do not cast a ballot, your vote goes to waste.  Some members falsely believe that not voting is a 'YES' of 'NO'- this is NOT TRUE.  It is not counted one way or the other.

                                  Again, the LAST ratification vote will be held on Thursday 3/26 at the Local 1106 Office located at 221-10 Jamaica Ave Suite 210 Queens Village NY, from 6am-6pm. Come before or after work. Also the Company will allow you to go during the day, provided that you let your manager know beforehand.
